Explain to me, please, how someone can sell on eBay and not be a registered user? I was unaware that this was possible.

I just viewed an auction that was posted here under another thread, and the seller was an unregistered user. And a successful one at that. On his auction it said "unregistered user" next to his name.

A current auction? The way I understand it is that if a seller becomes NARU their past auctions stay up, but current/open auctions are closed.

See the post "Have a look at this auction". The seller in the auction in question is an unregistered user.

Muriel: He was a registered user a few days ago when that thread started. The auction is ended and he subsequently became NARU
