I am looking to buy an inexpensive digital camera for listing my items on ebay. I LOVE the Sony Mavica, but can't afford it. Not even close!
I saw the Polaroid PhotoMAX Fun Flash 640 Digital Camera at Walmart for only $79. It has the same resolution as the Mavica (the lower end one).
Have any of you tried it? How does it work? If you actually happen to have one, can you email me a pic you took with it so I can see?

C|NET's review is here.
They weren't too impressed with it. If you're serious about selling, get a good camera. Poor pictures cost you in every sale you make. Read C|NET's reviews at www.computers.com.

Hi, I use the Fun Flash for my auctions. Got it at Wal-Mart for $79. It's easy to to use and the program to store your pictures is simple to use also. The pictures are surprisingly clear. I even take home photos with it that turn out nice. If are you are going to use it basically for auctions, then I'd say get it.
I love taking pictures and have my eye on the Sony with the 10x's zoom, but that will have to wait as it cost upwards of $800!

I use the polaroid 640. I love it, I agree it's not great for really close up photos of tiny items, but most of my stuff looks good using it, plus I use it to take pictures of the dogs and such. No complaints here, except that when I bought it it was a lot more expensive than they are now.

Wow! Kerrydaway, I checked out some of your auctions to sneak a peek at the pictures (I hope that's okay!
You used the Polaroid for those pictures you currently have listed? I'm amazed at how good they actually are. I'm just about to order the Mavica-90, but I'll really just be using it for online auction stuff, and if the Polaroid does that good of job, I just might save myself the $600! LOL
I am in amazement that a $79 digital camera could take pictures that clearly. (pleasantly surprised! LOL)
