Why would that surprise you.

On the subject of feedback look at Butterfields a eBay company. Any surprises here?

Maybe sellers or buyers see their items that were supposed to be lost?

I just spent a few minutes laughing over the 49 Negs. Many are for items arriving damaged due to poor packaging! Some were lost in the mail, outrageously high shipping costs, not as described, took too long to get there and the USPS routine replies? Either Buyer did not purchase insurance or Buyer did not notify seller before posting negative feedback.

I didn't see any of my lost things there.....

I think the descriptions are hilarious...
"Assorted Balls"
"Fruity Household Items"

I like the auction with the ice axe, baseball bat and hockey pucks all together.

It's all about the Benjamin's Baby!!

And I betcha eBay plays that Puff Daddy Song everytime the USPS sells something.

The neg/neutral that really made me laugh was the complaint about USPS adding additional shipping charges to the item. I looked, and it was for a weight-lifting set, which had an estimated $38 for shipping. The bidder ended up being asked to pay $80 for shipping.

Doesn't USPS even know how much it costs to ship things? In every other case they are way over the top....

Then there are the packages that are lost or arrived damaged. And USPS' response: Buyer did not obtain insurance. I mean, THEY are the delivery mechanism. The buyer PAYS them to deliver it, AND they have to pay them MORE to make sure they don't lose or damage it?

Another neg involved someone getting a faulty item, but no refund "because the item had not been returned".. Now, there's a new one. Someone pays to ship a parcel, it gets lost. USPS re-sell it, and have someone pay over-the-top shipping to have it sent to them. The buyer then pays AGAIN to have it shipped back to USPS, and it gets "lost" once again... But they didn't pay for "insurance"...

Jeez...

Yes, but how many positives did they have?

OK, I found it. I got a chuckle out of some of their negs, but it's sad really.

This job of selling of selling on ebay is much like any other in that some previous experience is most helpful. Why do most all of the *big* sellers have a tremendous amount of negs and neutrals? There's a lot of advantage to being small enough to give some customer service.
