I have an auction I want to end early. It has bids but has not met reserve. Do I still have to notify the bidders since the reserve has not been met? Lauren

It would be nice to let them know why you canceled (and it wouldn't hurt to let them know when/if you are going to relist). Just be sure that the reserve has not been met, otherwise you will need to cancel the bids so you don't wind up with a winning bidder according to ebay.
I don't believe you are obligated to notify bidders, but if I was a high bidder and had the rug pulled out from under me (so to speak), I would be curious why. JMHO.

No, with the new anti-spam rules, you are better off not contacting the bidders as the auction is not considered valid unless the reserve was met.
