Hello All:

Now that Honesty is going to be charging fees for image hosting space over 3MB, what other sites have free image hosting that is easy to use and reliable? Thanks!

december3 and kckckc: Thanks, didn't realize they had it. Do you know where on the site it's located?

Just click on auction manager, then image hosting. It's very easy to use and if you have a question about it you can ask the moderators.

Thanks for the help, everyone!

Yes TheFed, just click on the AuctionManager tab up above and you will see the link to image hosting.

The Customer Care Reps answer the tough questions in the Services forum.

Thanks for your interest, and enjoy!

What I want to know is this:
How will Honesty prevent anyone opening multiple accounts as a loophole to paying on the 3MB storage space limit??

goto.com offers free image hosting. Slow but very simple to use. ISPs like worldnet and USA are half the price of AOL ($10 to $12) and you can ftp your images to your own web space. Very fast. If/when you learn how to sell without eBay its not a problem because sites like Bidville and Bidbay host for free.

Auction Watch is great. I also use auctionflow.com as you can email your photos directly onto their server, which is a lot quicker than loading them one by one. (If you go to auctionflow.com you will get the mail page at commerce.com You have to click the auction links on the sidebar to get to the listing and photo hosting services.)

I don't use auction watch as my management software, and I need something I can find the html of my photo so I can put it in my write up. I think I'm confusing the way I'm writing this --

I don't use the auction launch at auctionwatch any longer since I bought management software. I need a free hosting site for just images, linking to them directly from ebay.

My ISP is a small one (nothing big in Cow Country, USA), and only provides 1 meg. How much is that?

Anyone have any ideas of where I can look?

How about one of those free web site hosting services? I have used www.homestead.com in the past. Kind of quirky to use on occasion, but you get virtually unlimited space for free!

jenndiggy1,

You can use AuctionWatch's image hosting, stand alone. Just upload your image, check the box to attach to auction, follow the easy instructions as you go along and you will end up with the HTML code to copy and paste.

Hope that helps!

most of the free websites won't allow "outside hosting" meaning keeping a file there and displaying it elsewhere.

I have free webspace! That is how you can host your images for free.

There are 100s of places you can get free webspace.

If they tell you that you can't do it and close your account. Move on to another place. Why pay for a service that is FREE?

Fed,
The forest for the trees! You are in the absolute best place you can be. Use this service and you'll wonder why it took so long. I sure did. Load AMPro into your hard drive and cruise into part 1 of easy auctions. Part 2 is the hard part. I'll spell it out...getting bidders to pay. Not AW's fault. It's like NIKE used to say. Just do it. you won't be disappionted.

edit=Jenndiggy

Jenn, To give you an idea of 1MB, a 1.44MB Floppy disc holds about 16 halfway decent photos. If you are running more than 4 auctions at a time, you will;
1. Not have enough pictures
2. Collect welfare
3. Wish you had enough pictures.
4. Wish the person who told you about on-line auctions suffer a slow and painful demise. Preferably with rabid rats somewhere in the picture.

Auction Watch is #1 by far WHEN IT IS WORKING PROPERLY. I have tried others and they do not compare.

goto.com has now become channelfusion and they will be charging 19.95 starting March 1.
