I recently bid on an auction for what I thought to be three hockey sticks! But when I recived the item today it included only one stick!! Heres a freindly emial I wrote to the seller:
Dear ***********,
your pakage arrived today but to my dismay what was advertised was NOT included. First of I bid on NEW NIKE IGNITE 3 COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT ! yet I only recived a single shaft also the shaft that you DID send is nothing like the one advertised! I would ask that you either send the remaining 2 sticks or that I send the item back to you and I recive a full refund - shipping.
What else can I do here I don't want to file a claim with e bay yet! because this dispute might be solved!! Please HELP!!!
Really to bad this is my 1st really bad experience I knew it was gonna hit me sooner or later!
Thanks to all that will help!

Actually I think you did get what you bid on IF your email was exactly as the ad appeared.
You bid on a NEW NIKE IGNITE 3 COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT. The model is an IGNITE 3!

Yes but if it was to be meant that way then the listing would have been NEW NIKE IGNITE 3, COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT also it is an ignite 3 V so whouldn't it have been a NEW NIKE IGNITE 3 V COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT?

Was there a picture? How many were in the picture? Was there an S on the end to indicate more than one?
NEW NIKE IGNITE 3 COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT looks like only one to me.
There are a couple up for auction right now that are worded exactly the same way.

You were not bidding on THREE. You must have misunderstood.
The auction clearly states "This deluxe hockey shaft is constructed from Graphite, Fiberglass and Kevlar". Not, "These hockey shafts". No where does it state there are THREE items for auction.
Only one. There is nothing misleading about the auction at all. Sorry you misunderstood, but the seller did not do anything wrong.

Zapped, is this a joke?
You got EXACTLY the quantity you bid on.
The description clearly states:
NEW NIKE "IGNITE 3" COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT
No way to read it as more than one.
Cannot comment on the exactness of the item you did recieve though.

Please tell me you're joking...
Its perfectly clear that you bid on one hockey shaft. The title also said "shaft" not "shafts".
In addition, the description reads:
NEW NIKE "IGNITE 3" COMPOSITE HOCKEY SHAFT
This deluxe hockey shaft is constructed from Graphite, Fiberglass and Kevlar. Radius edges for control. Low-kick construction provide a more natural feel for better control and handling. Compression molding for extra power. Fibertac surface for a non-slip grip. Stiffness rating fo 340. Sells for $79.99 in hockey shops.
I don't see ANYTHING in it that would make you think you're going to get 3 sticks.

You might want to start by sending a polite apology to the seller for your first email & ask if they would be willing to let you return the item less shipping & their listing fees. Explain that you misunderstood the auction. I have let one bidder return an item and one back out of a sale because they politely explained that they misunderstood the auction. (I don't know how because I make my descriptions as thorough as possible, but they were nice about it so I was too.)

I'm sorry if you felt criticized. I don't think anyone was over critical though. My advice would be the same as debbielennon. I would definitely apologize and let the seller know that you are aware now that it was your mistake and not theirs. Then ask if they will take it back for a refund minus their out of pocket costs. However, I wouldn't hold my breath. The seller of this thing is probably doing the happy dance right now because someone actually paid $65 for this thing.
Also, what about your claim that what you got wasn't what was advertised? You didn't say any more about that?
