How many time have I seen a very valuble item sell for 10% of book? More than I can count!

Why, because, the sellers here forget to buy!

If you are selling an item on ebay, just think that your are hitting only the 20% of the mosk knowagleble market, and that you can make a major profit, by bidding!

By bidding to a area of profit, for another venue, you support the whlosale value of you item.

Ebay will not be the only way items are sold!!

Hmm,

Which valuble item? Let me know what you are talking about.

I am a seller on ebay, and I am not stupid! I double my cost and make a good profit.

I very rarely see something in my area of interest sell for 10% of it's value. If you have that experience bid away... Let us know if you are able to resell them easily or if perhaps your appraisals are as bad as your writing skills.

Thanks for pointing that out Ed. I'll remember that next time I buy something for $450.00 and sell it for nearly $1700.00. Or perhaps I should just give this up for good and go back to a cruddy job where $20-$25K is a good year. Yes, that's what I'll do. Ed, you've changed my life! Thank you!

Just bid on the items that are sold SO below book and resell them. Why let the rest of us in on your little secret? In the words of Forrest Gump. "Stupid is, as Stupid does"...

actually items in my particular area do sell for less on Ebay than they do at conventions or trade shows, but the scenario you suggest would have a ton of drawbacks for me. the setup i'd need as well as the cash outlay I would have to put up in order to sell at those venues would completely decimate any profit I could make. Ebay is a much better venue for a small-potato seller like me. The people at the trade shows import their merchandise in dozens and hundreds, and I don't want to get that involved nor do I want to become yet another big merchant hawking stuff at these shows (the show are already clogged enough with peddlers). not everyone is stupid. some of us just know we are better off selling 1 thing for a 100 dollar profit than getting in over our heads when we already have a gazillion other commitments/time constraints.

Ed-

Since whatever you said and/or meant in your first post is incomprehensible, maybe you meant the title of this thread to be-

EBAY sPellers are stupid!

considering your below line-

<<<If you are selling an item on ebay, just think that your are hitting only the 20% of the mosk knowagleble market, and that you can make a major profit, by bidding!>>>

your are hitting? mosk? knowagleble? (hahaha that's a particularly good one,
knowagleble... in fact I'm LMAO, say it three times fast, it even SOUNDS hilarious).

I figured it out. Do I win a prize ?

Here is the English translation:

Frequently items sell at very low prices in the same catagories that many of you sell in. This is because not all sellers are aware of the true value of the items they sell. With outages, ISP problems, poor timing, lousy pictures, and other factors; these items may sell well below wholesale value.

If you sell in certain categories regularly, you should check the listings daily to buy up these under market items. This will provide you with additional merchandise to sell and help to prevent the devaluation of your merchandise. Once buyers get used to buying your type of items for pennies from idiots, it will be much harder to get a good price for yours.

Of course most of us already know this if we have been selling for a while, but I guess he figured he was the first one to notice.

I check the category I sell in daily. My opinion is that if someone is going to sell one of the items I sell for next to nothing, it will be to me.

There is AT LEAST ONE stupid seller on Ebay.
The statement below is TRUE
The statement above is FALSE.

I respectfully disagree. I think the guy was having sPeller's remorse, and was referring to himself. He just left a letter out of the title of this thread.
