Visiting this board is the first time I've ever even *heard* the term "fee avoidance." Yikes.

Would this classify as Fee Avoidance? You have ItemA for auction. Customer emails and asks "IF I bid on this, do you have any more available, because I need THREE... just the one won't work."

You email back, and say YES you have more... they will just pay the final auction price x 3, plus shipping.

Fee avoidance, or just doing business? I'm confused a bit, because the customer contacted ME, it's not as if I put this information in my auction.

What else are you supposed to DO? List two more identical auctions, have the bidder bid on them with BIN really fast (before someone else gets there first)? How else would you be able to do it to be "fair" to ebay?

This is getting awfully complicated. I think I'll stop visiting the board... isn't Ignorance of the Rules an excuse? LOL

Hi, Mattndes......Hell, we don't need eBay to forsce us to report multiple sales of a single advertised item -- We already have the IRS that does THAT job for us (Or, TO us, as some may put it...hehe)!

eBay has no right to expect a seller to pay fees on multiple sales of a single item. Slam dunk, baby! One auction listed, one paid for. The rest is just good salesmanship on your part, once the buyer is in your 'store.' Good luck, and put away the guilt bonnet............AcesCasino

You are correct. because they found you and your item via Ebay it would be fee avoidance. Your idea on how it would not be with BIN is also corect.

Ebay would say yes, that you need to list more to sell more. But as for having the buyer BIN before anyone else has a chance. Well, they just wouldn't approve of that either. PICKY PICKY PICKY

But personaly I'd just sell them. The one that you listed on ebay, sold on ebay. They got their share of your money off it. What you do with any other items you may have is your choice. They are your property. If the buyer pays, then sell them! I would....

Just my opinion though.

That's horse manure, Surf.......What if the buyer didn't come back to that seller for two weeks? Six weeks? Three months? Hell, I buy one because I found your product on eBay, but , I like your customer service, so I buy five more. eBay ain't sellin' those, baby.......

What if the buyer wants a different item than the one purchased on eBay? In YOUR model, the seller has to pay for THAT, too, because, "hey, you wouldn't HAVE that customer if it wasn't for eBay." Phh...LOL...No way, surf..........AcesCasino

If THE CUSTOMER CONTACTS YOU for additional items it is NOT fee avoidance even by EBAYs rules.

If you offer an additional service or item for sale it IS fee avoidance.

IE: If you win this pair of rollerblades you can upgrade the bearings for an extra $16.00.

OR If you buy this $15,000.00 diamond ring we can resize it for an extra $15.00.

BOTH are fee avoidance ACCORDING TO EBAYS OFFICIAL RULES and I would encourage you ALL to look through the expensive HIGH DOLLAR jewelry catagory daily and turn in these unscrupulous sellers that want to try to jilt poor little ebay out of that all important percentage of the $15.00 resizing fee.

After all they are only paying ebay a listing and FVC fee of about $500.00!!

How dare they try to pull this stuff!

HELP SAVE EBAY MONEY BY TURNING IN THESE SELLERS AND EBAY WILL CANCEL THEIR AUCTION!!

(EVEN IF IT ALREADY HAS BIDDERS. Otherwise what's the point?)

IT'S THE RULES and they CANNOT be broken!

Ebay needs HELP policing their site and upholding their rules fairly and evenhandedly.

TURN IN A FA (fee avoider) TODAY!! It feels SOOoooo GOOD!

Ebay want and NEEDS your help.

I say USE THEIR OWN RULES to show them that some of their rules are silly and NOT so self serving.
