what irks you about your buyers??
personally, a few stand out ..
1. they say 'Checks in the mail..' and it never shows.
..so they send a 'replacement' and it bounces.
2. the email address of the buyer in 'invalid'
3.ound you for feedback, when it has already been left.
4. wants to know when the item was sent, when the auction closed 2 days ago, and you havent recieved payment yet.
5. sends angry emails when you file NBP, a month after auction has closed saying ' how unfair, you should've given me more time'
therse so many more.. but I'd love to hear yours... helps me feel like we are in a parallel universe!

6.) When an auction says "NO CHECKS" and they mail you a check.
7.) When an auction says "NO PAYPAL" and they ask if you'll accept Paypal. When you say no, they send you a Paypal payment anyways.
8.) When they don't include any information with their payment they mailed you and you have no idea who they are or what they bought from you.
9.) When deadbeats retaliate and leave you a NEG saying YOU'RE the scammer!
10.) When you get an email inquiring about an item but they don't let you know which of your hundreds of items they are referring to... like you're supposed to be psychic or something.

11? Bidders who don't read/ignore TOS - if they don't come out with AdSubtract, they are there for a reason!
12. Bidders who seem to think being high bidder puts an item on hold for them indefinitely. (I sell a bit differently than a lot of people, but I don't go to the store, take a picture of an item, post an auction...and then go back and buy it after you pay me!)
13. Bidders who lie - if you aren't going to follow through, go ahead and tell me. Don't tell me the payment is in the mail for weeks and keep wasting both of our time. It isn't going to make me like you more or leave positive feedback! Likewise if you are truly sick, have an email problem, etc., let me know - somebody you know has email capability even if you don't at the moment

13. Bidders who wait 30 days to mail their payment, then hound you with emails asking "When did you mail my item? It hasn't arrived yet! Are you punishing me for mailing my payment late?, etc..." In reality the item was shipped the day the payment arrived. Then they won't leave feedback. Yaaaahhhhhhh!

When bidders don't email me back...
I expressely state in my EOA email, "Please reply to this message and let me know your address and what form of payment you are using."
Roughly 25% never contact me via email... They simply send their payment. So I'm left wondering until the post office delivers that envelope.

14.when you state SHIP TO USA ONLY and overseas bidders still bid without asking first and expect you to sell to them anyway since you didnt get any other bids.
15.REPEAT of getting a retalitory from a deadbeat.
16.sELLERS THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT JUSTIFIED TERMS BECAUSE THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS CAME FROM DEALING WITH ALL THE PROBLEM
BIDDERS
17.all the changes at ebay that only protect the non paying bidders or DEADBEATS

18) Changing their email address but forgetting to change it at ebay.
All of the sudden it's an epidemic. They email me saying they won an item, and I can't match up the email address with any of the buyers email addresses.
Then I notify a buyer and the email gets kicked back because it no longer exists.

man oh man.. we sure all the same issues, don't we !?!?
ditto on everything especially the no info on the check or envolope with payment. that just drives me crazy!
...
19. when they email me back my eoa asking if that is the total ( i have single rate s/h charges)
20. when they ask what condition the item is in, when it is clearly stated in the auction.
21. when the buyer accuses you of not sending the merchandise because of post office slowness
..
we come, we can get to 100, can't we??

I'm sure we can and I am also sure a buyer will pop in to complain about sellers!
But that is how we all learn.
22) My subject line on email
"ebay #1234567 watch payment info"
and they email you 2 days later with a sarcastic "Are you going to send me your information or don't you want the money? "

23) When they insist they sent you a Money Order - but they conveniently lost the receipt and they refuse to trace it! (had this happen recently - it's been 2 months and still no payment!)
24) This happened recently too - had a customer whose total was $15.00. They sent me a $20 bill with a note telling me to send back the $5 in a money order! I sent them a check - hey, I didn't ask them for $20 - I asked them for $15!!

Of course, I just like to give eBay fees out of the goodness of my heart!

26) When you finally place a NPB alert, they claim that a family member MUST have deleted all emails pertaining to the auction win (all 3???) But eBay NPB alert gets their attention!
27) Dealing with in-state buyers who fails to read "XX residents must pay X.XX%" Sales Tax.
28) Buyers who sends in short payments.
29) After all that, no feedbacks, no contact. Wonder if they fell off the face of the earth.

30) When international customers ask you to lie on the customs forms - (mark it as a gift and put a much lower $ amount on it)
31) When customers can see you've been on ebay a while - with thousands of feedbacks - and still feel that they have to tell you HOW to package their items. (Had one last night tell me to package her clothing item in tissue paper because it's nicer to open!)

35) ...and after you politely tell them you cannot falsify a customs document, they threaten to leave "appropriate feedback".
this actually happened to me. The bidder's logic was, since I didn't put in my terms that I wouldn't fake a customs document, it meant I would. When she found out I wouldn't, that meant she would have to pay more for the items than she planned. Therefore she needed to warn other international bidders of my practices.

sunderdown: This is EXACTLY why some seller's TOS are quite lengthy. We have to actually S-P-E-L-L O-U-T the "common sense" stuff for some of these bidders!
"Well your auction doesn't say that you DON'T take Paypal so that must mean you do!" and then if the auction says "NO PAYPAL" they say "I would have bid but I don't bid on auctions that state NO PAYPAL".
You can't win.

39) After you email the bidder several times to get payment, you finally file a NPB alert. No response. Then you file a FVF 10 days later. The very next day the bidder rises from the dead and sends you a PayDirect / Billpoint payment for that item. (Happened to me today) <sigh>

Bidder then emails me "Since the 1st three auctions I won did not fit I'd like to exchange them for the other 3 I just won". Do I have a neon Wal-Mart sign on the front of my house???

41) Auction states NO CHECKS. Bidder sends a check. I email bidder stating I can't accept it and to please use one of the other 9 methods of payments I accept. Bidder says "will send a MO asap". A month later and a few emails to her later, no new payment arrives. I finally file my NPB, FVF's and NEG her for non-payment. AFTER she rec'd the neg she emails me saying she's sorry for the misunderstanding on her part - she was out of town, she's a mid-wife, etc. I then receive a NEUTRAL feedback saying "poor communication".
Moral to the story: Bidders, if you're clearly the one at fault (and even admit it) DON'T NEG the SELLER!!!!!

45. Buyer closed my auction with the "Buy It Now" feature...he sent an email telling me the check was on the way for the BIN item....and then goes on to tell me he was "bidding" on one of my auctions that featured this exact item....he stated that is he was to be "high bidder" for less than what he paid for through the BIN auction and I hadn't received his check yet, he wanted the item for the lesser price and the difference refunded back to him. Luckly, the item sold for more.
