Oh Boy! I'm really on a roll now...
Someone just ended one of my auctions with Buy It Now. I emailed the bidder and he replied that he didn't buy anything. I emailed a link to the auction and he apologized and said, "one of my kids must have done that".
Great. Now how to I go about getting my listing & closing fees back from eBay?

When you go to file for NPB alert, there is a drop=down box & you HAVE TO PICK A REASON: one of which is (something like) "Buyer & seller mutually agreed to cancel transattion" -- this one ELIMINATES the 10 day FURTHER WAIT for your FVF refund!

You should ask just how old his children are and why they have his password for Ebay. If he can't come up with a better excuse you should report him.

The sellers who use that option inappropriately are probably also the ones who are saying that eBay isn't doing anything about getting rid of deadbeats.

I didn't get the impression that this was a DEADBEAT situation -- but rather one where the buyer made a mistake??
Or did I read that incorrectly?
I've used the MUTUAL option ONCE -- that was when one of my winners won an auction with BIN/ I then relisted the auction with a duplicate item & for some INEXPLICABLE reason she BOUGHT-IT-NOW again! BY MISTAKE! I too have BRAIN-FARTS as I descend into my AUTUMN years, so I laughed with her about it -- she also sent me the ruined listing fee & has bought more items after this episode!
