Color me confused...
For the last month I've used my yahoo! mail as my *sole* email client and have had zero problems - either through their web site OR by using it with my earthlink DSL via Netscape.
Are you sure you have your outgoing mail server set up right in your email client? (In Netscape it's under Edit, Preferences, Mail & Newsgroups, then Mail Servers). The
incoming mail server should be pop.mail.yahoo.com - the outgoing mail server should be smtp.mail.yahoo.com .

I can definately agree on the @Home email comment. My local email server went down at one point, and tech support's response was "we don't care about the email server, use something like yahoo".
So I use my yahoo account mostly. I'm just biding my time until I can get DSL. But right now I'm not having problems with my email account. Do you know if it's isolated to a small group of people? I know at one point the part of the database that one of my other accounts was on was toasty one evening.

That's bizzare. I've had that error message before, but it has resolved itself within 5 minutes. (I'm impatient, like I'd wait the full 10 minutes...I check every minute)
Did you ask Yahoo support? I bet they've either not answered or given you some BS response.

I've had my yahoo e-mail opened all day with no problems. Occasionally I do get that "10 minute" notice, but haven't seen that for awhile. And usually if I just wait a few minutes and refresh it's fine.
