I just found a helmet at a garage sale looks to be a tankers helmet but not sure from where or when it is from ( I think german it has a gold eagle on the front with a red cross ) can anyone help? I will email you a pic if you can.

Sounds like a Spanish M44 helmet. That's a condor, not an eagle. It has a web liner, if it's intact. These were either made by the Germans, or the Spanish off German dies at the end of WWII. The badge you mention fits in a loop on the front of the helmet.

Well I didn't leave an accurate description it is leather, has a chin strap and a flap for the ears that goes all the way around the helmet. I have tried to find info on this and have come up empty ..either way I only paid 5.00 for it!
