We've bee using Auctionwatch for all of our auctions (we are new to the game) and noticed that most people that use Auctionwatch have really cool formats, fonts, etc. Our wording runs all together in one paragraph. I posted on the service message board and was told you had to set up HTML. We are computer stupid when it comes to things like this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any sites we can borrow this information from? Once you do set it up do you have to make a new one for each auction?

Thanks

I don't know much about fonts, but can give you some quick pointers. Remove spacing to enable:

< b > bolding < / b> end bolding
< br > back return ~ similar to carriage returns.
< p > paragraph

Those should help keep from all the words from being strung in one big paragraph.

Also, if you create a template that you like, all you have to do is COPY it and edit your changes.

Good luck!

Hi meplz14; Someone once posted 4 very basic HTML codes here , and for an html wimp such as myself , it's been a boon . Together with the AW templates in Auction Manager , my text isn't all running together, and gets spaced better around the pictures .
I'm sure many other posters will offer you more refined or detailed info' , but I can get away with:
1. <b> at the start of text = "bold"
2. <i>....................= "italic"
3. <p> skips a line , new paragraph.
4. <br>starts on a new line
remember to always start text with no spaces after the >
You can use bold italics by using <b><i> before the text.
Just the spacing helps the look of auctions enormously . I'm embarrassed to think of my early auctions ! I used to try and use very concise and condensed language to cut down on text. Perhaps not too bad a thing anyway.

I launch each auction individually as I don't list bulk same-item auctions. But I often write them , using this basic HTML , in MS Works , and copy and paste them , using AW auction manager. Do a test one and see how it looks. You can always cancel before launching.

Hope this helps a little. Others will have far more detailed help for you I hope.

THANK YOU to both of the above post! They were a big help on getting us started. We didn't realize it was so simple until someone explained!
