I've tried to send an EOA announcement to a winning bidder from three different email address's but they keep coming back.I haven't had one of these for a long time and when I did it always went through on the second time. How can I contact the person without calling? The item sold low so I didn't want the price of a long distance call as this would probably be more than the item sold for.I've rechecked Ebay to see if the email address was correct with what they had down and it was.

Hi - What report are you getting when it bounces back?

Have you tried emailing from an auction listing page (send this auction to a friend)? Sometimes those will go through. You can put whatever you want in the message area (delete the message that's there).

You could try contacting other sellers the person recently won from, to see if they have had any luck.

I had the same problem within the past week; the bidder did realize there is a problem, and had her daughter email me.

I got a a couple of those recently. I contacted Ebay safeharbor and let them know the email of the buyer is invaild. They send a test email to that person to see if it isn't working, then if their email bounces back they make the username invaild until the person changes it. If ebay's email goes through, they send you an email that it worked.

melodie - I believe eBay will send a test email, and when they get the same reply you did, they will suspend the user. What has probably happened is that the person changed their email address and forgot about up-dating it at eBay. When they get suspended, they will realize it and take care of it and get reinstated. (HOPEFULLY)
