when I click on edit (where this usually happens) on my toolbar I don't always get the drop down menu. I can drag the pointer down and the text comes up but is boxless. The lines of text appear "selected" and I can stop and click and get my command but IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY. I've looked other places for the answer with no luck so thought I would try you all. Thank-you

That sounds like a video driver issue to me craybaby. Have you made any changes to your system lately?

If you're using the Edit drop-down menu for the copy, paste, and cut functions you can use the keyboard shortcuts instead.

Cut- Ctrl+X
Copy- Ctrl+C
Paste- Ctrl+V

Thank you. Yes, Meya, last month we took our PC in for a major "clean-up". (Lots of conflicts, unwanted files, and "cr*p" in general)We also installed the latest Explorer. It's been great except for this problem. The PC smarter one here understands drivers and all and will think on that. In the meantime, I'll use the keyboards as others suggested - I never really learned these so forget I can do that. Thanks again.
