my highest bidder is requesting a reduction on the final bid they won the auction with. I'm agreeing (looooong story) -- with the reduction in final value, how do I request a lower FVF from ebay -- Ebay's directions state that in order to get a FVF refund, I need to issue a non-paying bidder alert -- which is not the case in my particular situation.

what to do?

Marc, you do need to do the NBP before applying for the credit - let the bidder know that as part of the process they will get an email from Ebay, but after 10 days, when you later apply for the Final Value credit you get several options to pick from -and receiving less money is one of them. Since they do pay nothing happens to them, and you do get the credit.

Hmm..
I just got notice from a winning bidder that they did NOT bid the amount listed on ebay.
They say they only bid $11.50 instead of $22.50 and they can prove it with their email.
Wonder if something was wrong with ebay again last night?
