I get message from Paypal. "You have an echeck waiting." I don't take Paypal and I never registered with them. So I check out site and it says I can withdraw money by check. So because my buyer is on the way out of town and will not be back until the first of the month, I register with name and address just to get that one payment.
Tonite payment has cleared and I try to withdraw payment. Paypal says I have to give them my CC or check account. There is a place to go if I don't want to do that. This page is called [email protected]. Click on this and it keeps coming back to same page. I just emailed them demanding my check. What else should I do. Thanks guys

You shouldn't have signed up for it-now that you have give them your CC and after you get the check sent to you cancel the account. Seems that this is partly your own fault-never sign up for something unless you read the fine print. As for Paypal-getting sick of people bashing them. I've used them for over a year and have had no problems.

Hammy: Thanks for answering. My problem is that they should have told my buyer that I did not belong to Paypal in the first place. Do you think they are in the right for accepting money when I am not registered at the time?

Because I am so new, I am shopping around for a service that feels right to me. When I had my store the bank made a $1,700 mistake in electronic deposits. I really rather have a piece of paper in my hand, so I asked them to send me a check instead of electronic deposits, which they did without a problem.
Neither person has answered my question. Should they have the right to accept money on my behalf without my authorization to do so? Also thanks for replying.

I agree with you jcmaya - PayPal should NOT be accepting money for non-members. But, they can, and they will continue to do so, it allows them access to money they wouldn't otherwise have, until you can square it away. PayPal can pretty much do whatever they want until they finally get sued or hit the pain threshold required to become the focus of some government entity.
In the meantime, you only have 2 choices.
Give in.
Or wait til you can contact your buyer, who is the only one who can get the money back out.
Personally, when it happened to me, I asked the buyer to get the money back out. But all my auctions clearly state that I do NOT accept PayPal.
