I have noticed since I have removed the paypal option on my auctions and replaced it with the billpoint option, sales have dropped from what they were.
I went back and changed my auctions to paypal and sales were going back to normal. Anyone else have this happen to them?

I'm a frequent eBay buyer and personally I won't buy from a seller who doesn't support Paypal. It's the most convenient, cheapest (for me) and safest method I've found. Billpoint doesn't work right for me as I'm in Canada and if I end up buying something from a dead beat seller I can dispute the charges.
I used to do things the money order method but w/ postage it cost me a little over $4 CDN per order which made a lot of purchases less worthwhile.

Adrox...why can't you use billpoint? I have Canadian buyers (and other international buyers) using billpoint to pay me all the time. Billpoint does accept international orders. International buyers can't use the billpoint "instant payment" function but they can pay from an invoice the seller sends to them.

Well here are the reasons:
1. It's faster to pay with paypal than billpoint as I can't use instant payment from billpoint (why I don't understand).
2. I had to cancel my cc once because of someone stealing my number and now only 2 internet sites have the new number. This way I won't have to go through that inconvenient and nerve wracking experience again. Since I'm a CS major I know that the default IE encryption is rather weak and the less often you submit cc info the better.
3. I buy items of which there are usually at least 2 or 3 auctions on ebay and most sellers take paypal. If one seller doesn't accept paypal then I'll bid on one that does.
Also I was originally planning to use Billpoint but it wasn't very popular and only after Paypal allowed Canadian users did it rapidly gain in popularity (I'm assuming that's when the fees came into play).
However in all fairness if there was a rare item that I was just dying for (metaphorically speaking) I would most likely bid and then use a money order or maybe even give billpoint my cc#.

Why not just offer your customers both options, PayPal and billPoint. Let them decide which one they like better! That's what I did and I saw an increse in sales
