There seems to be an awful lot of people who just don't leave feedback. How do I find out if one of my bidders/sellers actually leaves feedback. I certainly don't want to pad anyone's feedback that doesn't give a rat's a*% about mine.

Very easy...go to www.vrane.com and use their feedback tool. Just insert the Ebay ID, and you can see all the feedback they have left.

I dont know of anyway to tell or not but, hwat I do is, when I send the item, I email the person and ask them to ost feedback for me when they recieve it and, if they do then I will do the same and if they dont, then I dont either. I would say about 75% of the time they never do.

headhunter - What difference does it make if your buyer leaves FB or not? If they have fulfilled their end of the deal by prompt payment they should receive FB.

george - I absolutely NEVER leave feedback first for a seller when I receive an e-mail like that, it really turns me off. I expect the seller to leave FB first, either when they receive my payment or when I let them know the item has arrived safely. Out of all the FB I have left I have received over 80% back.

george I'm with tootsiepop on that. I am also in the 80% range & I never ask for feedback.
You might try emailing the buyer to tell them you have received payment, left feedback & ask them to let you know when they receive their package. Don't mention their leaving feedback for you. I'll bet your 80% will reverse.

I will tell you exactly how to view if someone gives feedback WITHOUT using vrane or any other program for that matter.

It is really very simple.

Click on the feedback number of the user in question (as if checking their feedback normally).

Once you are on that page, look at the address bar. It will say something like this :

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=EBAYUSER

Where it says, "ViewFeedback&userid" insert the word "left" before the "&" symbol.

It should read like this :

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedbackleft&userid=EBAYUSER

This will show you all of the feedbacks that user has left.

I get about a 70-75% responce, I e mail the bidder I am leaving feedback would appreciate they either drop me a line or leave feedback once the item is received so I'll know it was received safely, usually works OK for me, but you'll always have those that don't leave feedback regardless!!

I get lots of feedback.

1. I always leave feedback

2. In each package a include a note thanking them for their purchase and encouraging them to contact me if they have any problems. It is signed with my eBay id. [not a word about feedback however]

3. I sell quality products and follow through on customer service.

I've had people request me to leave feedback after I've received the money and before they receive the product. My hesitation is that if they receive the product and aren't happy and they become unreasonable and neg me without any notice -- I'll be powerless to put the situation into proper perspective with a response to their NEG because I've already said, "GREAT EBAYER -- THANKS FOR THE PROMPT PAYMENT!" -- Now...if they become unreasonable -- I'm at their mercy --

your thoughts on that?

If you don't leave it for me first?

You won't get it!

I have thousands of feedback, and it isn't important enough for me to do, since most buyers could care less about returning it.

If I see that feedback IS important to you by leaving it for me?

I will certainly do the same for you.

If you have a neg coming though?

You got it!

I always leave feedback, unless I get pushy emails and notes demanding, or saying I
will leave feedback *after* you leave feedback. It is like telling someone to say thank
you and I don't need a lesson in manners. Feedback, like saying thank you, is a
voluntary activity.

But the worst are the sellers who put stuff about buyers leaving feedback in the
auction description or TOS. I don't bid on these auctions.

I have found that if you are honest and nice to people they leave feedback without
being insulted, threatened, or treated like ill mannered children.
