Just checked an auction and found the seller was requiring a $25.00 refundable paypal deposit via paypal for 0 feedback bidders before the bid will be accepted.

I did a quick search and was surprised to find that a few sellers are doing this.

I thought eBay had introduced a new feature that allowed a seller to pre-approve bidders for his auction, meaning a bidder would have to email the seller and request to be put on "the list" before he could place a bid. I tried to search thru the eBay info pages to see what they called this feature but I couldn't find it anyplace.

If a zero-feedback bidder shot in a last second snipe on one of these auctions, with no chance for the seller to cancel, eBay would regard it as a successfully completed auction.
