I had a buyer pay with PAYPAL. I thought a payment is a payment and sent his item. In going through my PayPal account today I see his payment for $115.00 is still "pending".
Should I worry?

You should probably check the original email payment notification you received from Paypal. Sounds like your buyer paid with e-check.
If this was an echeck ,please remember that clearing time for ach transactions/echecks are calculated in business days. This would exclude weekends and holidays.
