Hello everyone, and thanks for reading. Just like the subject of my post says, my Mr Lister is running pretty draggy, even with just my browser and ISP software running. Someone suggested to me that it's time I buy some extra ram memory for my pc. At the moment, I only have 64 megs of ram. The thing is, I don't know anything about buying ram, but I really need to get the Mister Lister program running quicker. Can anyone suggest any tips on the purchase of ram or point me toward some type of FAQ?

I believe you can go to www.crucial.com and look up your specific system. You have to buy the correct type of ram, so dig out your documentation etc. that you got when you bought it. Or call the vendor, but if you can, buy it from Crucial. Their prices are usually good, and they are a reputable company.
MisterLister (the previous versions) used to be very slow going between screens when I was adding new items. When I installed the newer version, the problem went away. Now I can cycle through the items as fast as I can click the buttons.

chances are, unless you have a brand new system, you need SD ram and let me tell ya its DIRT cheap right now.......i just bought 2 chips, 128 mb each for under 40 bucks each....a super deal, just go to pricewatch.com and check out the listings............as for the amount you need i have reseaqrched it and most studies i found say the 128 mb is the most you need on most systems BUT i have 256 just to be sure. i may have too much but hell when it is soooo cheap i said why not make sure i was loaded for bear...i highly reccomend pricewatch, it has reputable dealers and incredible prices........no need to pay someone to install it either as it a matter of pushing the chip into a slot.......a piece o cake

I agree with Meya, Crucial is great. I have a Quantex computer and Quantex went out of business, so I couldn't call tech support. I went to Crucial and easily found the right type of RAM. I had 96M and was planning to buy 32M to bring it up to a normal 128M, but Crucial was offering 128M for about $50 with free shipping. So, I bought another 128M and now have the strange amount of 224Megs of RAM.
