I received an email asking me if I shill bid all of my items...Since I don't I really resent that comment so I email back and it returns my email saying its an automated system and the emailer will remain anonymous.
I checked the original email address isn't registered with ebay so I'm wondering HOW they got my address--since ebay has its new policy!?!?!?!?
How do I handle this??? I defenitely want to report.

i checked all your auctions for the last 30 days and i see nothing, not even the slightest, narry a shred of evidence to indicate shilling. you run a clean operation. you are to be commended. there is one thing to consider. If you did start shilling you could really work your final slae prices up, just a thought. i like the way you stood up when asked your user ID, you appear to be one of the good ones!

Have you received any "Question for seller" emails thru Ebay lately? If so, that is how they got your email address. Ebay has a checkbox in their new mail system that allows the sender to get a blind carbon copy of the email and that has the recipient's email address in the headers. So, he could have sent you, what seemed to be, an honest question, got your email address from the header of the BCC and sent the shill message from another account.
Of course, it could simpler than that. Maybe, one of your winners sent you that message from another account. Any of them, especially someone who may be new to Ebay, have their bid pushed to the max by a sniper?

eBay will do NOTHING about ANY email from another user.
Not unless it is about trying to scam or selloutside the auction.

Thanks you fattyman.....I do and always will run a clean business. I don't need to shill bid my items--they bring what they bring.
bkmunroe....I have gotten a few of the "questions from sellers".
Its just odd that they singled out one item and then they also emailed the high-bidder telling them they had been had because I ran them up. Guess it was someone who got outbid at the last minute. I've sold the same item in the past and it always brings around the same amount.
Oh well...I'm over it now.
I did email ebay though.

It's really easy to get an email address from Ebay. This person probably has a registered ebay email address that they used to get your email address, and another address that they used to send you the email.

There's not much that Ebay can do because I doubt that they are going to spend the time and effort it would take to track the user down.
