Hi,

I have a huge lot of NWT Boutique quality clothing and I have started to list them in ebay. They are listed way below cost. I feel I would be better off selling them wholesale as well. I want to add "WHOLESALE INQUIRIES WELCOME" in my ebay listings. Anyone know if this is against Ebay rules?

I'm sure it is since you're asking for offers outside of the auction.

Ebay does have a "Wholesale" subcategory in the "Everything Else" category, but it might be better to put it in the appropriate "Clothing" category and include the word "Wholesale" in the title.

Of course, you are allowed to list a lot in 2 categories. So, list it in the "Wholesale" subcategory and the appropriate "Clothing" category.

Eastwest on the contrary clothes sell very nicely on Ebay, I made a small fortune just cleaning out my own closet. If clothes were not selling for you, perhaps it was 1) the clothes themselves or 2) the way they were described or photographed. Very important, good descriptions and measurements and such.

GoodVibrations, I agree. My problem is not that they are not selling, but I have too much to do.

I have decided to list these fabulous items in little bundles maybe 5-10 pieces at once. This will really take the load off of me. Even now, listing them individaully, I am charging below wholesale. So I am sure I will not have a problem selling them if I reduce a further few dollars a piece and list them in bundles. thanks guys for the advice.

I do not sell clothes but I know several sellers who do very well with clothes.

Yes it is. It is taking sales off the site. it is like saying I have this one I am selling here but I don't want to pay the fees so I have a lot more just e-mail. At least that is the way Ebay sees it.
They have a place for wholesale sales of large lots and even small lots.

However, you may want to list some at yahoo where you can advertise that. Retailers though at least most of them are going to want to see your business credentials. I use my Yahoo auctions to draw people to my website. I sell there and also put an ad there a link to the website really. Have been doing it for a few years.
