I couldn't believe the balls the local McDonald had today, I'm totally pissed. You see, I've been going there for like two years because they've been giving me free happy meals, toy and all. In exchange I drop all my burger wrappers in the street for them (free advertising) and I tell all my whining friends about them, so they get free burgers too.

Today I ordered the same happy meal I've been getting for the past two years and guess what? THEY ASKED FOR MONEY! *gasp* Not only did they ask for money, but they asked for what they thought they deserved for the cost of ordering the ingredients, preparing the food, cost of keeping the restaurant open, keeping the floors clean, hiring the employees, paying the insurance AND paving the parking lot. Those jerks. I told them exactly where to put it, and I took my friends with me. We all piled back into our little yellow school bus.

I can't believe them? Who are they to ask ME for money? I made their restaurant- I sent all my free loading friends over there to eat. How dare they!

Sure, I never paid them for all that free food, but I'm entitled. But now I'm getting even, just you wait. You see I offered them fifty cents for the happy meal, but they declined it. It seems they need $1.25 a happy meal to stay in business. Screw them, I'm going to white castle instead.

I started going back to there, though, just to hand out flyers to burger king and white castle. That will show them!

How dare they try to support their business! Jerks!

Or you could just make your burgers at home and bypass all of the complications.

That's what I do.

I'm going to white castle instead.

White Castle is 100 TIMES better than McDonald's anyway!

White castle burgers give me gas, but they're cheaper, so what the hell. It's not like inferior food is going to affect me or my health, right?

All I get from them is my burgers anyway. I pick up the lettuce and buns from goodwill.

This is very upsetting,I am going to boycott McDonalds. By all means go to White Castle. You might try the local soup kitchen too.

you forgot to complain about the bright colors while you ate your free happy meal. that can be annoying while digesting the free food.
and never just mention it. be abrasive and say things like "GET RID OF THE ARCHES THEY ANNOY ME!"
that generally makes them happy as they hand you the free happy meal box.
i hear jack in the box is free now.
the drive thru is slow and there are twice as many signs in the windows. ill go there and complain

Perhaps you fail to realize that the days of free meals are over? You can run, but you can't hide.

I suppose you could dumpster dive, though.

You forgot to mention the 50 cent transaction fee for using your debit cards. That's 10% on a $5.00 order.

They no longer take checks.....

Actually, McDonald's hamburgers just aren't as good as those you make yourself.

Besides, there's alot more flexibility in making your own burger. You can cook it anyway you want and add any condiment you want, instead of the very few cookie-cutter options that McDonald's offers to their billions of customers. Frankly, McDonald's hamburgers all look alike to me.

And by making them yourself, you don't have to worry about McDonald's grill being out-of-order when you just gotta have a burger!

Of course, the clowns at McDonald's hope you never figure any of this out!

Your McDonald's offers a great deal, Bob! You know it will only cost you $1.25 for that Happy Meal. My McDonald's, on the other hand, has decided to charge me $1.25 for the Happy Meal, and then after I've eaten it, they make me pay more depending on how full that meal made me. If I'm just a little bit full, I might only have to pay a couple of extra pennies. But if I'm really full, they will charge me as much as $30 more for the very same Happy Meal! Doesn't matter to my McDonald's that the meal I buy is always the same size. Doesn't matter that it takes me just the same amount of time to eat it. Doesn't matter that it uses the same amount of their resources--if I get a little bit fuller, I have to pay more!

And get this--my McDonald's used to encourage me to deliver Happy Meals to other people for free and let me keep all of the tips I earned. Sometimes nobody wanted the Happy Meal. Sometimes I'd try delivering it again, and on my second, or third, or even fourth try I would finally find someone who just had to have that Happy Meal. Now my McDonald's wants me to pay $1.25 for the Happy Meal before they'll let me take it out of the restaurant. Okay, I can deal with that. BUT...if nobody wants it, I can't take back the Happy Meal and I'm out the $1.25. I know there are lots of hungry people out there, and it's a shame to waste food, so I might like to again to find someone to take that Happy Meal--but now my McDonald's wants me to pay another $1.25 for the privilege! Every time! Even though the Happy Meal is already made!

THEN my McDonald's told me that I would like it if they took a small share of my tips that I'd earned. Up front. Before I had a chance to get my tip from the customer. My McDonald's was wrong--I didn't like that much at all! Wonder who told them that I would? Once in a while, even though the customer had sworn he'd buy the Happy Meal from me, he wouldn't even answer his door, no matter how many times I knocked. So I was out the $1.25 for the Happy Meal PLUS the share of the tip I'd given McDonald's based upon the customer's promise. My McDonald's says they'll return the cut of my tip that they demanded up front--IF I can prove the customer really didn't pay for his Happy Meal. They haven't really said how I'm supposed to prove I didn't get money.

I really liked my McDonald's. But now...well, I realize there are other fast food joints in my town. I never would have thought to patronize them, if my McDonald's hadn't gotten so greedy.

Yesterday I went for the first time to White Castle. To my surprise those burgers aren't bad, not bad at all.

Thank you for bringing a bit of levity to this forum, I've enjoyed it. BUT

It's about fees again and since I'm going off shift soon, it's clean up time.

Sorry to have to lock this thread up! You know the reasons.

Please feel free to post in Mark's thread or in the Service's forum,
