I have two large very fancy cookbooks that are probably part of a larger set. I got them in an auction of equipment from a food business that went under. One is about seafood and the other about fancy desserts buffets and very decorative tables. It is the sort of food you would expect to be served on a cruise ship or a very fancy banquet. They were prointed in 1983

The main Title and subtitles are in such fancy elaborate script it is hard to read. I think it is:
Le Livre De Recettes Dun Compagnon Du Tour De France
One book is: Cuisine Poissons, Loquillages Crustacés, Tres? Yeres? Shuries
Fish? shellfish and crabs?

The other is: Traiteur Buffets Cocktails Réceptions and ? I will put a jpeg here of the cover and a couple presentations.

Any advice on how to offer them would be appreciated.

List them separately, and just show a scan of the table of contents and pictures like you do here. Start bidding at whatever will make you a small profit - $24.99 $49.99?

It is part of a series, another one being Pastries, but I don't know how many are in the series. There is one copy of the Pastry book online with an asking price of $225. Appears to be quite scarce! Found another book on desserts so minimum four in the series.

Reading the publication information is easy ... it's in the same position as in American books. Editor is Yves Thuries, and if you look him up in ADDALL.COM/used/ it gets REAL INTERESTING!

Look him up at AMAZON too. It was a 10-volume series, mostly not available yet in English, but it's for PRO chefs.

Thanks - books are fairly new for me - Thanks for the URL. I did not recognize the authors name as such on the cover. The title is impossible so I listed them seperatly as suggested by the author's name and sub-title.
Looks like the sort of thing you would expect at the Greenbriar or an embassy dinner. I am hoping international buyers might find it.

I looked up PART of the title (Livre De Recettes Tour De France) at addall, found a whole bunch of books about cooking (found a lot of books about bicycle racing too), and from that found the author, and from there found his other books.

Good luck on them!

I speak French, thought this might help:

The Series is from someone going around France on some kind of gourmet tour.

Cuisine Poissons Coquillages (it's a C not an L), Crustaces, author is Yves something.
Cooking Fish, Shells and Shellfish (they use two different names for these in French)

The Traiteurs Buffets Cocktails Receptions translates as
Caterers, Buffets, Cocktails and Receptions

Sound really nice. Have you thought to list them on something like Amazon that has a French site?

I am not familiar enough with Amazon to feel comfortable doing that. If they don't sell well on eBay I will go to the effort to learn a new site.
I have not sold a lot of books before but as I am buying more things at auctions (local) I seem to be getting more and more books. I get a lot of questions about editions and printing dates I am not knowledgable enough to answer but am learning fast!
Thanks for the help!
Je né parle pa Francé. Did I even get close?
