I recently sold an item to someone who contacted me through another email not listed with ebay. They then sent 2 more emails from different addresses not listed with ebay. I receive payment from Paypal from yet another account.
I research all the email accounts and find that they have several accounts, all have some negatives for selling fake knockoff items.
Despite my better judgement, I send the item anyway since it's only a $4.00 item. I had a funny feeling that bidder is trying something. 2 weeks after I mail the item, the bidder claims they never received item. I clearly state in my TOS that if bidder refuses insurance, I am not responsible for lost or stolen items. I always keep postal receipt.
I notice now that bidder is NARU. He cannot leave me a negative.
My gut feeling is that they received item and want a refund. I sent them an email reminding them of terms of sale as well as a postal receipt for mailing. I am not going to refund.
My question now is, can I be charged with fraud? I do have proof of mailing and it's their word against mine.

I wouldn't think that you could be charged with anything. On another note, that's a sad scammer to spend time trying to juke you out of a $4 item! I wouldn't expect that you'd hear from him again....
