Has anyone been able to get a credit for that Feb.27th problem? 3 of my auctions that launched on the 27th ran and ended without any descriptions or pictures. I didn't know about until the auctions ended and a customer pointed it out to me. Apparently this was a problem on Ebay's side, and they openly admitted so.

2 of the auctions closed for $5-10 less than what I typically get for those items, the other one closed with no bidders. I emailed Ebay about crediting my listing fee and FVF, and they said "just this once" they would credit the listing fees ($.90) but they weren't supposed to credit them unless I closed the auction 48 hrs after it opened. And they would not credit the FVF at all.

Of course, if I had seen the problem when the auction was open I would have addressed it then. I didn't WANT to sell the stuff so cheap. I can't believe it sold at all!

Anyhow, should I be mad? I'm not off-base on this am I? Does Ebay do this kind of thing all the time? I've just never had them screw me before, although I've read some pretty bad stories here.

Did anyone else try to get credit?
Why would they be so petty about this when it was their error. If I make an error on my customers end (sent someone the wrong item last week) I absolutely eat the cost.

I spent $600 at Ebay in fees last month alone, and they don't want to credit me $2.50.

OK, thanks for letting me vent...

I've seen it suggested that if you get turned down for a refund by ebay you should just keep asking until someone says yes.

Stands to reason, considering the radically different answers ebay is capable of, that you would find someone who would credit your fees.

It is worth a shot!

eBay doesn't make mistakes

And, when they do and you catch them, they suspend you and ask you to stop emailing them ...

There was a message on the Announcement Board about it, and it detailed the problem and the timeframe. It was the only announcement that entire day.

I've been promised credit. I was told that I had to close my auctions without pictures then send them the numbers, and await credits. I did all that and now await the credits. Best of luck.
