I used to sell what seemed like a lot of my collectible/antique stuff to California. At the present time I don't have one item going to California. Has the power crisis caused the computers to be turned off out there?

No, they're too busy clinging to their roofs waiting for the water to recede.

surrrfurtom: We would love to be bidding on your auctions but we have to conserve our money to pay soaring power bills. Last month my usage was down by 20% and my bill was 20% higher than last year.

Actually I think they've developed an interest in improving their minds, because I send a fair number of books that way.
Or maybe they can only afford to buy books after paying their utility bills?

Well I'm here in the wonderful Silicon Valley. I'm bidding but can't seem to win much.

PS My bill usually ran around $50 a month (new house, double pane windows) the last bill was $230! On top of that my tax dollars are buying more electricity. I am learning to live in the dark....
