Okay, I just won an auction that stated "BUYER PAYS $4.50 FOR SHIPPING AND DELIVERY CONFIRMATION". Then I got an AuctionWatch WBN that gave me only one choice for shipping. First Class Mail. If I understand correctly, the USPS does not offer Delivery Confirmation for First Class Mail. So, I feel that by only offering First Class Shipping I am not getting what was advertised. I KNOW that this sounds REALLY PETTY, but I am SOOO Tired of misleading descriptions. Someone, Please tell me I'm not a B*#ch!

If your item is over 13 oz it is considered Priority Mail and will be shipped as such. First Class only goes up to 13 oz.

It was a shirt, so if they mail in a regular Tyvec envelope it probably won't go over 13 oz. I will give the benefit of a doubt. I did email the seller and ask how she will provide Delivery Confirmation on First Class Mail. I know that I have had a problem with Auction Watch for a While because they don't offer Parcel Post as a Standard Shipping Method on their WBN. So, I guess that could be the problem. See, I knew you guys would calm me down, LOL!

I see the difference now...I didn't realize you couldn't get DF on "First Class" mail. I rarely ship anything that light, and hardly ever use DF.
If they use a box, it will certainly weigh over 13 ounces though, and then could go Parcel Post.

Delivery Confirmation...available for Priority Mail, Parcel Post, Bound Printed Matter, and Media Mail, according to USPS.com website. Priority costs $0.40 extra; the others $0.50 extra. It does makes sense not to offer delivery confirm on our everyday 1st class envelopes, bills, junk mail and such. What a stupendous job that would be keeping track of all those "You've Won a Kazillion Dollars in Printers Press Sweeps..." mailings and utility bills if DC was an option, yikes. I think perhaps your buyer used wrong term or else may be new to AW or online selling like me. I know I didnt set up WBN when first learning stuff at AW. I would then go tweak my settings myself at ebay(usually during a..err...downtime at AW, change settings, and not change them at AW where the auction launched. Thus when I added auto WBN, numbers and ship options didnt match, LOL. I bet that's what happened with your seller cause I did it not long ago!
