I think I will use the buy it now, and hopefully be rid of deadbeats.
Under another new requirement, if buyers choose to purchase an item immediately with Buy It Now, they will need to have a credit card number on file with eBay (no charge) or be ID verified ($5 fee) in order to be able to purchase the item. eBay said that the credit card on file would be used for verification purposes only.

I think this is true if you have only been on eBay for a short period of time. I registered in Dec '99 and did not have to put my credit card info into eBay to do BIN.

Hello gisi. DO you mean that as a buyer using the BIN option to purchase an item you didn't have to enter your CC info OR be verified?

Thanks for that info. I haven't used the BIN as a buyer because of the supposed requirement of a CC or verification. I also started selling on eBay before they required a CC on file and I don't wish to give them one now.

It's weird, I wasn't expecting it, duh, because I wasn't planning to use my cc for a tiny amount .
So I backed out, thinking my BIN would not go through, then I saw I did buy the item.
