I have a bad case of High School German... It is a book, a biography.
Carl Bader
ein Streiter Gottes und feiner Rirche
Ein Bild feines gefegneten Lebens und Wirfens.
The author is Heinrich Goebel. I know that Bader and Goebel were part of a religious movement in Germany. The best I can figure out is that it reads something like:
Carl Bader: A fighter for God and feiner Rirche????.
A tableau of a fine figure Lebens und Wirfens??
My spelling could be wrong. It is old style script. Any help is appreciated.

Well, from the context I suspect that "Rirche" is actually "Kirche", which would be "church". Also, "Streiter" could actually be "Streiten", which would be "Arguing". "Leben" is life.
As for the rest, I don't have a clue. Maybe if you scanned in the text we could have better luck figuring out the letters?

The picture helps a bit. I believe those are S's and not F's: Also, that funny letter in the last word is actually a "k" and not an "f". Finally, "gesegneten" could be a dialectual or old-style version of "gesamten":
Carl Bader
ein Streiter Gottes und seiner Kirche
Ein Bild seines gesamten Lebens und Wirkens.
It's a bit of a stretch, but I think this would all translate as:
Carl Bader A fighter for God and his church A picture of his entire life and working.
