Did you ever go to the USPS web site and check the status of your package with Delivery Confirmation and see where it has been?
I mailed a package from Cleveland OH to Indianapolis IN at the beginning of the week. Still hasn't arrived so I thought I'd take a look. It seems my package has a life of it's own and is taking a side trip!
For some reson, the package went from Cleveland to a small town in Pennsylvania. Like, isn't PA the OPPOSITE direction it's supposed to be heading? After 2 days in PA, and I hope it's having fun, the package went to Cincinnatti. It's still there but I hope it will head up to Indianapolis soon.
So now we're up to 5 days and the very first it will get to it's destination is Monday, making it an almost 7 day journey; I believe I could walk from Cleveland to Indianapolis in that time!

I once tracked a package that was sent UPS on a trip around the country and finally got it 3 weeks later. The parcel had enough frequent flyer miles to take a free trip to London.
I didn't know the USPS has a frequent flyer program for parcels too.

You think USPS is bad? Try UPS. I had a package going from NY to NY and it ended up in Florida. Wonder if it got to visit Disney.

This is too funny! I bet that USPS never dreamed that the tracking could/would be used to track how well they do their jobs.

What's really bad is some packages are routed odd like that on purpose. After 24 years in the PO, some things (like Hawaii via Tampa, FL) still make me scratch my head

For three years I have jokingly told my customers that their delayed packages have probably taken a side trip to Tahiti to soak up a little sun. I always tell them to check for tan lines and traces of sand on the AWOL boxes when they finally arrive.
And I thought I was only using a little levity to calm my anxious buyers...and it looks like there may have been some truth in what I was saying!

I haven't laughed this hard in a LONNNNNG time. My son works for UPS. I think I'm going to print this for him.
