In my garage sale hunting, I found about 30 of these. There were two which were in their original packages (the moron who sold them opened one to check what they were). I think they are some type of coil. I checked under KW coil on ebay and got some things about a Model T. The guy did have an orginal model T. Any help is appreciated!

Looks like an ignition coil like they used to use on really old cars like the model T. It is marked 1957 but they were sold for a long time not only as replacement parts but to use in science fair projects and electronics projects.

It looks sort of like an old Ford Model T coil but too tall. Maybe and old tractor coil?

What do you think it's worth considering it is not used and in its original package?

Model T coils go for around $5 to $20, looking at eBay completed auctions.

Yours is similar, but looks taller than the Model T type, so I think it's for some other model vehicle. I don't know which that would be. This is just opinion, I could be wrong. Yes, it's NOS (new-old stock) but that doesn't necessarily mean that it still works. They may have a shelf life--don't know that for sure either.

These things are collected. I see them in antique shops and they always get bids when I see one at an auction. They will try to get them dirt cheap on ebay though because of shipping (they're fairly heavy, aren't they?). If you're in an antique mall, you might see how fast they sell there and also try one or two on ebay to see how they go. I hope they do well for you.
