Be careful with the new BIN stays until RESERVE met.
We had an auction yesterday with a reserve of $7 and a bin of $12. It ended with 3 bids, reserve met and it was then BIN'd. The seller e-mails me her payment status for the $12 she BIN'd it for.
The problem. Ebay has recorded the ending sale at $7 - the reserve price - not the BIN price. The EOA sent reflects the lower price too. While I would enjoy the lower FVF's - it is an Accounting nightmare. It is also confusing to the buyer as they, too, received the $7 EOA notice but had purchased the item for $12.

I'm so glad I saw this thread (and the other that cost someone $30-40 with this glitch)!
I was going to list an item tomorrow night with a reserve and a BIN. Guess I'll just use the reserve feature now. Drat eBay.
Thanks to posters who give us info fast!
Any thoughts on a disclaimer in the description? Something like, "The BIN price on this auction is $X. eBay is currently experiencing difficulties w/it's BIN/reserve system. BIN bidder agrees to pay BIN price even if eBay's EOA notice errs."
Then again, I could wait 'til next week to list this particular item and hope they have it fixed.
