Which one is Satan and which one is Faust?
(or Dr. Faustus)

A more detailed (and somewhat more technical) article is here:

http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2694854,00.html?chkpt=zdhpnews01

Read it carefully; it is rather interesting, but technical at times, and I'm not sure what all of it really boils down to for the typical seller or buyer, although this was an interesting remark from eBay:

"Ebay is all about multiple partners," Whitman told press and analysts

And this from Microsoft:

"When you're logged into Windows XP, you'll be logged into eBay," said Ballmer

----
What's being done in the name of direct marketing nowadays is crazy.
The above are all just my opinions, except where I cite facts as such.
Oh, I am not dc9a320 anywhere except AW. Any others are not me.
Is eBay is changing from a world bazaar into a bizarre world?

Yes, Steve, thank god I have a Mac.

(Steve - last seen at Dicks Drive-In wolfing down a burger while sitting in the back of his limo. Ah luxury.)

I knew once the startups lost money, the diversified companies would go after the ecommerce action with a robber baron approach that stuns 1993 web surfing off of it's butt.
Small businesses and medium sized businessed are in for a dunk into cold water.

Makes me want to pull my Mac from high school out of the closet and use it full time (it still works! and it's a truly toolin' machine, complete with a 2400 baud modem).

Barring that, there is always that copy of Linux I keep meaning to install....

I hope this does not mean that eBay's stability and uptime will dip even further.

Here's another article from ComputerWorld:
