"Personal Shopper" would e-mail you when a new item matching your specific search term was listed. It was a pretty handy tool way back when, but with the current Search problems, I'm not surprised to see it go. Sorry, yes, but not surprised...

I was disappointed when I first heard about it, but Favorite Searches is now MUCH better (IMO)! In Personal Shopper you could only do 3 searches, but in Favorites you can do FIFTEEN searches! (You can only get e-mail notification on 3 of them, however.)

To add to Favorite Searches, search for whatever you want, and at the bottom of the page you click a link to add to Favorite Searches. You can then click the "Favorites" tab on the "My eBay" page or use the bar at the top of the page (next to Personal Shopper) and scroll down to see all your current searches. One thing that's different between this and Personal Shopper is that the list will come out in "ending first" order instead of "newly listed" order.

Without eBay, I might have a real life... [ edited by mcbrunnhilde on Mar 13, 2001 11:45 AM ]

Yes. Favorite Searches replaces Personal Shopper and was rolled out (about a month or so ago?) as an IMPROVEMENT.
