Just about to do some relists, and on Vranes relist page, Vrane says it will start charging fees per each relist starting next month. The fees are $9.99 for 1000 relists & you can have a year to use your credits. At least this charge seems somewhat reasonable for the time you save, but with Pay Pal, Auction Watch & now Vrane all charging fees, it's starting to get spendy to use auction services!

NUTS! The free Power Lister Gold was the best thing going for a long time. I'm most likley going to give in and pay the fee, as the program is great and saves us a great deal of time.

It's a reasonable fee. PLEASE you guys don't start griping about a reasonable fee. Be glad they don't want a FVF of everything relisted through them you know?

The Vrane Relister saves me about $50 a month in listing fees.

Hi comicjunkie:

Can you give the URL where we can see the new fee policy.

I don't have anything to relist, but I brought out my close auctions and couldn't find their new fee policy. I also looked else where in the site with no luck!

The announcement is right on the Power Gold relist page itself. http://vrane.com/rl.html

I use to sell one of a kind items & had no problem with doing an occasional relist manually. Currently I sell alot of multiples & relist up to 400 items per month, which was extremely time consuming to do manually, so when I found out about Vranes relisting program, it was like a gift from god! Let me make this clear, I have no problem paying $10.00 for 1000 relists, it is quite a bargain, I started this thread just to inform people of another fee that will affect auction costs. I would think eBay would want to develop a relisting program for sellers to use at no charge, as quicker relisting capabilities would allow sellers such as myself to concentrate on getting as many new items listed as possible.

Oh now this will be a toughie... is the convenience of the Power Relister worth paying $ for it.... I've only discovered it recently, and its SUCH a time saver.... I used to have 1 night a week for listing & relisting - I'd type of my listings in advance so I could just upload and launch, because I usually spent all evening doing the manual relists... when I discovered the Power Relister it was a HUGE time saver for me...

I do appreciate the notice - gives me lots of time to think about it... I do think the price is reasonable for the service - which is great... Hmmmmmm

That is one penny per re-list. That seems very reasonable.

How does it save you money?

gboy: regarding power relister saving money

I am running a couple hundred auctions a month, mostly for the same type of things. I have canned html that I shoot into misterlister every week to start a new batch of auctions.

I usually have a success rate of 50-75% on auctions. I simply do not have the time to go through and relist the ones that didn't sell. So I just start a new auction and eat any rebated fee I might have gotten.

I had not known about this vrane tool until this thread but I definitely plan to start using it. If half the relists come through, that's about 50 rebates @ 40 cents each = $20/month saved in my case. I'd pay $10 a year to save $20 per month.

I don't want to put words into twinsoft's mouth but I suspect the situation is similar.

This is one fee I'll glady pay -- it's a service that saves me time and money.

And a penny per relist is VERY reasonable.

Hi everyone, and thanks for reading my post. Does anyone recall offhand how much time ebay allows for a no-bids auction to be re-listed and still get credit for it if the item sells the 2nd time around?

I love Vrane tools as much as anybody, but I personally won't be using their relisting program right away on no-bid items, but not
for the reason that Vrane will soon charge fees. I'm delaying the relisting process on my no-bid items due to the "psychological factor". In other words, if I have an item
that no bidders cared about last week and I
relist it today, the item will seem even *less* desirable that it did the first time around. Kind of like a "stigma". In the items that I sell, it seems to me that most bidders aren't after the item per se, but really trying to keep the other bidders from
winning it (ie "beating them". So if a previous no-bidder item is seen again, no one
will want it because "the other guy" don't want it. "There must be something wrong with it".

Sorry that I lapsed off the topic a tinge here, but in my personal case, it seems that my using Vrane's relister just because I can is just throwing good money after bad. I'm sure in the cases of many other sellers, the Vrane relister program is a great idea. Maybe
I'll wait until the ebay time limit nearly expires to relist my failed items, so that some bidders can forget the item bombed the first time around.

One can only wish that ebay's programmers were half as savvy as the genius behind Vrane and its power relister.

Such cleverness, which saves me immense amounts of time and enables me to plan exactly when I want my auctions to start/end is worth a penny a listing.

I am constantly amazed at sellers who complain about paying for any business services they use. As the saying goes, you have to spend money to make money.

Each service charge I pay, whether for accepting credit cards, or listing fees, has to analyzed on the basis of value delivered. If it gets me higher bids, or saves me valuable time, it gets the ok. If it is unproven or the returns are not enhanced sufficiently, (like gallery listings, bolding, highlighting etc.) I will pass.

My point is that if I benefit from a service, I am usually happy to pay for it. I want the companies who provide useful services to stay in business. Now if I could only use Vrane Power Relister in the "mature" category items.....

Blackjack21,

You can re-list the same item within 30 days of the closing date of the first auction.
