You might want to read up on what's coming by clicking the ANNOUNCEMENTS bar at the bottom of the page, this isn't posted on the main message boards yet.

Sounds better...but, should we expect the options to be changed yet, again? Is there going to be a fee for standard, on top of the dime?

Chris from AW started a thread here yesterday on the subject, then quicky locked it?

BTW - It appears most of the comments were deleted, including both of mine?
Nice touch AW.

My comment was also deleted.
Apparently AW now secretly deletes dissenting views without so much as an explanation via email or moderator's post.
Look around-----there are still plenty of places to find free or low-cost image hosting for your auctions.

Of the 24 posts in the thread 17 were deleted AFTER the thread was locked. The most blatent cnesureship I have ever seen on these message boards. Here is some of the aftermath.

I never thought I'd say this. Probably only reddeer has been here long enough to believe it.
I've always hated censorship and moderation. Yet, I've recently grown to respect and even like some of the moderators. I know. It could be a virus, or something...
Still. I know this crap is not the moderators fault. This is management forcing their hands. Imagine how the mods must feel. I know at least one of them from long ago... Honorable then...honorable now.
I think we need to cut them some slack. Management? NO.

I think the moderator was probably correct to lock out the thread as it wasn't eBay related, but why wasn't the thread moved to the appropriate place? If it was to much trouble to move it all then why were 17 post deleted and 7 left? More of the aftermath.

jrodgers...
Seriously. I think the mods were doing what management told them to do. They're not autonomous you know...they get a paycheck. The guy that signs that check, runs the show. Just like any other job.
I hate to see them take the flack for this. These crappy business decisions are managements alone, IMO.

I honestly agree with you toke for the most part but I was there and it all happened so fast... As good as the moderators are, and I do think they are good at what they do most of the time, they are human just like everyone else and subject to a bad haid day like the rest of us. I just thought it was overkill and a bad knee-jerk reaction. I hope they don't take our griping as a personal reflection on them as a group.

Sure, they'll take it personally. Who wouldn't? I hope they're wise enough to know they're just surrogates for anger at AW...and get past it.
Now, MONEY is a whole different thing. I've never used this place for my business. If I had, I'd be royally pissed at the cavalier treatment.

Hiya Toke
As Joice stated:
This is not a moderation issue but rather an action taken by Administration.
Let's face it, the Admin of this site call the shots, and lately it seems like they've been calling them on an hourly basis.
I don't blame the moderators on AW for these recent events, anymore than I blame the Pinkliners on eBay when the sheet hits the fan.
Personally I hope the moderators get a bonus out of some of the new fees that Admin is going to be charging for the services on this site.

Everyone,
As ironic as it is, I'm going to have to lock this thread because it's not eBay related. If you have comments about the new fees, please post them in the AuctionWatch Services forum.
Thanks for your cooperation.
