A user left me a negative feedback only minutes after the auction ended, relating to a transaction not ebay related. Obviously, I didn't even have the oportunity to ship the item. It is my understanding that this meets the requirements for feedback removal. Anyone else see it that way.
Ebay has responded twice to my request saying that it does not meet the requirements. I feel the context of the feedback was brought into question and the requirements for feedback removal were not even considered.

Keep trying. Sometimes you have to beat them over the head. Don't give up, just keep pestering.

Need to know more about this, as this makes no sense. Was this someone out to get you? You may only be able to neg this nut back, and outline your side of it.

What more information do you need? Ebay is not following their own guidelines for removal of feedback.

I really feel eBay does not respond to their customers as well as they could when something like this happens. I recently had a bidder neg me after using feedback extortion, false information to Billpoint and at Billpoint's suggestion ("transaction at risk" I refunded bidders money after trying to resolve the matter as requested by Ebay when I filed a NPB report. Bidder then emails me telling me he had email problems but refused to help me remove the neg. I hope ebay will start considering that the honest traders need their support to prevent damage to the sellers business due to unjustified negs left by NPB, extortionists, frauds and others. My intent is to take my case to the courts as a test case and lay some ground work to protect others. (law is my hobby) and the bidder lives in the same county as luck would have it.
I wish you good luck with ebay and remember sometimes the "squeeky wheel gets oiled".

FB can be removed on several ground,
I believe one reason is, if the bidder entered into the transaction only to leave FB.
good-luck!

What was the outside reason that they left feedback?
"...relating to a transaction not ebay related."
I get the feeling that we are not hearing the whole story

You actually got off lucky since you always leave feedback upon payment.
The bidder could have sent you a rubber check, taken his positive feedback from you (which by your own admission in another thread he would deserve), and THEN neg you.

Hell a few neg feedback aint nothing. Just reply stating what happened under his statement then leave neg for him stating what he did. WE ALL LISTEN AND LOOK. THE PROOF IS THERE FOR US. You can even save the auction to send as proof later if needed and no longer in the databank.
Good luck.

Good Luck... I have trouble contacting eBay for anything except for the $$$ they want from me. If anyone has a good multi-purpose eBay eMail address... I would like to have it... thanks [email protected]
