can you believe this one???? this was the only picture. There was an apology for its quality, but I honestly think that *NO* pic woulda been better than this.

This came up in one of my keyword searches although it's nothing i would normally buy.

Please attempt to guess what it is, and if I don't get the correct answer I will reveal it in 24 hours.

Have fun!!

How about a brooch? Makes me feel like a photo genius when I see pictures like that. It's right up there with sideways pictures that don't fit the screen and pictures of dirty dishes in the background.

Are the colored areas supposed to be jewels or stones of some kind?

It is obviously a multi gem pendant with gold accents and a very fine 14kt gold necklace. There is a pearl, amber and ruby held with four prongs on each gem. From the markings it appears to be from a little known French jeweler, Francois de'Adabeat. From the intricate detailing on the gold(look close and you can see it, simply breathtaking) I would guess this to be from the late 1800's to 1912(his most active period). Judging by the cut and clarity of the ruby and the color of the pearl, I would say this is one of his nicest works put up for auction within the last 20 years. I would place its value at a conservative $7500. Look for the value to rise as his jewlery is just now starting to gain in popularity.
If you are able to win this item, count yourself lucky. You will have a wonderful example of early 20th century craftmanship and a valued family heirloom for generations to come.

I forgot to mention the flawless sapphire in the middle.
I was left breathless after viewing this piece.

I am astounded that I am the only person who can tell that this is an alien from outer space looking out of the window of his flying saucer.

You guys are soooo funny! I almost PMP laughing! The only bummer is that the pic isn't there anymore, so I have to vote for the small white box with a red "x" in the middle! Wanna see it!

Boy, this was a tough one for me! I'm pulled toward the brain tumor, but guess I'm going to go with the white box with the red X.

Maybe I can take 3rd or 4th place, whatcha think?
