Started with BillPoint right after Xmas &, so far, they have been outstanding! 75% of my winners use online pmt services, & of those, 60% use BillPoint! PP is slowly but VERY surely going DOWN! AND I DISPLAY the 2 logos next to each other in my listings to give the appearance of impartiality!
Here's my BIG problem with BP: I offer 2 shipping choices (P-MAIL or MEDIA), so my buyers can't use the instant purchase. I put in my listings:"If you want to use BP, please email FIRST with your shipping choice, so I can send you a BP invoice" -- however, a full 99% of the people who use BP ask for an invoice WITHOUT specifying a shipping preference. So, I then have to play email-tag with them!
IS THERE AN EASIER WAY??
Oh, great AW geniuses, please help this lowly & demented MPG'er!

The wierd thing is that I used to offer ONLY priority! When I started to offer MEDIA (Bookrate) it eliminated 100% any questions about shipping!
I state the EXACT AMOUNT for each option...Can't get any more clear than this. AND I thought 99% would pick MEDIA (there's a $2.00 difference!)-- GUESS AGAIN! IT'S a 60/40 split in FAVOR OF PRIORITY! Boy was I shocked!
The reason I do it this way is that it gives the bidder the chance to state their preference & thus eliminate any chance of a screw-up!
I'm still fine-tuning it! It works SUPERPERFECTLY...except for this one problem with BP!

Tomwiii: When I do stuff that can go media mail I list the media amount in the auction and use that amount for instant purchase.
I have found that if instant purchase is available (no matter what the shipping method) more buyers will do the instant purchase because it is there and easy.
Maybe you are giving people too many choices?
It took me a minute to figure out MPG.....man, you gotta get a new hobby...
