I am really impressed by Canada Post!
I shipped a rather expensive item on 1/8 letter post airmail. Buyer still hadn't received it by 3/1, and started screaming "fraud," although I provided her will a receipt of mailing.
I called Canada Post, and one customer service rep in particular, after hearing the whole story made it her mission to find the package. She was able to track it down to customs, but there was no record of the package after that. This rep, Jan, actually called me a few times, to check in and give me updates and reassure me that the package was being looked for. In the meantime, she sent an official letter for me to give to the buyer showing that the package had indeed landed in Canada.
Lo' and behold, what shows up this morning...the package! Granted it looks like someone in customs ran their SUV over it, but the item is intact! I am going to issue a refund to the buyer as there is too much water under the bridge now.
Anyway, I am impressed...the rep from Canada Post assured me that the package would be recovered, and it *was*.
