Are you OK? Haven't 'seen' you
in a while, and miss your posts.

simco, HCQ left AW a few weeks (couple of months?) ago because of an incident on these boards. Am not sure where she is now, maybe someone else can help you.

I seem to remember HCQ had a web site, you can search ebay title and description for Hart Cottage, follow the link to the website and send her email from there. Be sure to tell her we all said "Hey"!

I miss HCQ inputs also. I while back on a thread someone aluded to the fact that she had left within the week. When I went to do a search, I could not see any posts that would have caused a rift. Now I can only assume that they were deleted, shortly after "whatever" happened.

I have so enjoyed this site and have thought the message board was so much better than ebays. I enjoy being able to follow a thread or topic with inputs related to that subject. But are many posts just disappearing?

Vargas: What does OTWA mean??

HCQ was priceless as far as fabric questions went. I was learning so much from her posts. Lets hope she misses us and comes back.

Hi mildreds

OTWA is the Online Traders Web Alliance. Add a .com and check the message boards. That's where I last saw HCQ after she left AW.

I think it all started over the thread She started "Can you guess whats for sale" or some such thing.
There was enough info givin from the pic to do a search and find this persons auctions.

Everyone had a good laugh and made fun of this person and her auctions.

I think it made HCQ feel bad that she opened such a big can of worms at this persons expense.

Anyway...that was the last she was heard from and that was back in January.

Can't say for sure thats why she left.

I too miss her posts.....

Come-on back HCQ, we miss you.

Um, I don't think that's quite it. Although the thread containing HCQ's manifesto is gone, the thread below may shed some light on things:

tabbinosity,

ahhhhh....I think your right about that.
I do seem to recall something like that going on about the same time.
But by the time I got over there to read the thread most of the posts were deleted.

It really saddens me to see people behave that way when all the while hiding behind a monitor.

I was wondering where HCQ went. It's a shame that she left over crap like this. She was one of the few who readily stated her (strong) opinions but was respectful and helpful to all, even if they disagreed with her.

I would be $250.00 poorer if it wasn't for HCQ!

I bought a piece of red paisley fabric at a flea market for $1.00. I emailed HCQ with some questions and she was kind enough to share her wealth of information with me and even pointed me in the direction of a well-respected vintage fabric business.

It turns out the fabric was from the late 1800's and the fabric folks paid me $250.00 for it!

Do I miss HCQ? YES!

I am pretty sure that she stomped out of OTWA a few weeks ago.

And I, too, miss HCQ! I would be willing to pay her a fee for her advice. Truly. She is so knowledgeable in so many different areas, and, of course, I happen to share her values.--Adele
