I've been having problems with eBay since Friday morning ... it appears to be a problem between my ISP and eBay (have no clue why)
However, I found that if I use an anonymizer web surfing service, I can get in with no problems.

PLEASE tell me where to get said anonymizer.
I have been locked out of Search and Mr. Lister for 3 days. ISP is HSE Sympatico in Canada.

Naru -
thanks. My bill for the finders fee will be in your email.
www.i-safetynet.com/ seems to work best, despite the annoying ads.

Hi, I feel really stupid asking this but could you give me a brief explanation as to just what an anonymizer is/does?? I think I understand it but not sure...? I have safeweb loaded and that is supposed to keep webbugs etc out..is that an anonymizer??

Abacaxi Thanks So Much for the tip. I have been going crazy since Thursday night, couldn't get into Ebay at all. Safe Web works great!. Now I just have to harass Sympatico until they get this sorted out.

Anonymizer.com's free service won't grant access to eBay. In fact, you get a message telling you that you have to get the pay version in order to get to eBay via anonymizer.

It is not actually the anonymizer.com version but Websafe that is allowing me access to eBay search function.
Re: What is an anonymizer: I have learned of them only today as a result of abacaxi's post.
I think it works by requesting pages on your behalf and does not allow the site you are visiting to gather info on you. Websafe is one from what I understand.
I don't really care about the info gathering
I am just glad I can search eBay again.
