Should I be concerned? Someone who is bidding on my stuff has over 200 bids on other auctions! I really don't buy too much on Ebay, but is there people out there that place that many bids at one time? This bidder has only 12 positive feedbacks and has been a member since last July. It looks like the bidder must have won a lottery! Should I be concerned?

Have no idea about your bidder, but I have found newbies bid a lot. They don't win many of their bids, but they will throw those bids out there left and right on a wide variety of items.

Most of us forget how it was when we first discovered buying on eBay, we were like a kid in a candy store! Although, some do bid much more than others, and get themselves into trouble.

Most seasoned buyers usually wait until toward the end to bid, unless, of course, it is something they really want, and then they bid the max and wait to see if their max was enough.

At least that his been my view on my multi-bidding customers.

Nope

Depends on wheather they are a winning bidder or not. And what is the value of the items they are buying.

200 open bids with 1/2 them loosing for a $1 sprots cards isn't anything to be concerned about.

But 200 bids all winning for $1000 designer watches is another story.

I wouldn't. I checked out her feedback. She actually has 47 positives, 13 from unique users. So she buys more than one item at a time from the same seller. Read her positives. Maybe she is a collector of some sort. That would explain multiple bids.

Or maybe she has a store. That would also explain multi bids. Plus how she can spend so much $$$ at one time.

Or hey, maybe she's rich. I hear there are actually rich people out there somewhere, though I've never met one in person.

Either way I'd say it's probably not a problem. Give her a fair shake.

luv

Well, Thanks for all your comments! I guess I'll just play it through! I will be careful in documenting these auctions and watching the time limits for credits if I need to!

Thanks everyone!

Well, they are bidding on Quilts, ornaments, easter eggs and potery. Bidding very high prices on all.

I run a mailorder business. About a year ago I was selling unrelated items on ebay when I noticed that the same bidder was bidding on 8 of my items. I looked into it and found 16 pages of auctions that he was currently bidding on. He was high bidder on a number of them. Later on I was telling a friend, who also sells on ebay (similar items) and he told me that this same guy has bid and won on his items too. A week later or so I get payment from the bidder, who ended up winning 6 of my auctions. I look at the check and realize that this bidder was also on the mailing list of my mailorder company. YES, there are people like that......thank God!

I've had the same situation twice before, once it went bad the other time it turned out okay. The one that went bad went really bad because they bid on half a dozen of my items on ebay then found me on Yahoo, Amazon and eDeal and bid there too. Didn't pay for anything.

Then again I once sold an item once for $180 and found that the bidder was bidding on about 100 other items and mine was the LEAST expensive. I added up the totals and he was buying 50 grand worth of stuff that week. He was winning every auction and had just 5 or 6 pos. feedbacks, but no negs. I thought this scenario had deadbeat written all over it. I was even more worried when he failed to respond to my EOA email. But sure enough a cashier's check arrived a few days later.

I've often wondered if he'd won the lotto or what the story was. Possibly he was reselling the stuff but most of the things he bought were not collectibles - VCRs, Computers etc.
