Do we get a prize?

"We believe it is a receptacle of some sort that fits into a wooden or wicker stand or holder. We believe one possibility is a gardening basket for either fruit or perhaps cut flowers. The notion of it being a colander is not far off .

As for the age, wicker needs hands on and a real expert to know the materials and age. From the design elements it looks Victorian to me. Anyway...no guarantees, just our best shot."

Rancher ..... Um, I think I'll pass on the trade.

I'd let you know what I paid for it, but I never kiss & tell.

Hey reddeer, I think I used to wear a vest that resembled yours back in the late '60s.

But I bet mine was a cheap imitation!

smw...You were correct!...Pls forgive my err in not recognizing that fact!..I didn't have a list of your fav collectables or your size (heck I don't even know your sex!) so I chose a prize that I know everyone enjoys!

And for Reddeer, who suggested givin' the AWers a shot at it

A Brand New Computer...This new model will back itself up, clean up an problems automatically, and (with alittle training) can even write auction descriptions, post, followup, control the packing machine (optional hardware required) and call the PO for a pick up!

Thanx agin' to everyone!!

smw, ah another East Coaster & a small women, eh?......Drat, if only I would have known your size yesterday, there was a long white wool winter coat (from "The Limited", size 4, in a local thrift for .50, it wouldda made a great prize!!!.....Oh well!!!

As for the basket....nope I'm not keepin' it....As soon as I finish my eBay break (house redecorating) up on the ole' auction block it goes!....My hunting around eBay hasn't found any gathering baskets in that shape, so it should be interesting to see how it does....

Thanx agin' Kojak, uh I mean Columbo, uh I mean SMW!
