Here we go again...yet another of my buyers contacts me about their problems with BIN! Yes, I already know about the CC or the 5.00 fee, but here's a new one! Buyer places first bid hits buy it now, auction is supposed to close, correct?, No, she is out bid by another buyer! No warning screen saying you have to be id verified or nothing, so she emails me,mad, thinking I did this, tried to block her as a buyer, When I did not! So I have no choice but to offer her this item, then I think, eBay will say I am selling outside of their rules, when all I am trying to do is make it right with a customer that got screwed by eBay.So when rethinking this, I realize my only option is to explain the situation to her, and offer this item for free, at my expense.I have alot of repeat customers and did not want to alienate her. But eBay put me in a situation where I could not legitimately sell the item and give them there fees. What the h**l are they thinking? Now I am out an item, which I could care less about, but another eBay buyer is not going to use the BIN, and frankly, I don't think she will buy much anymore. This practice by eBay will effect us all! Now how many other buyers had this happen tonight and just blew it off and said "what a rip off", and won't buy again? Can ya tell I'm PO'd, so should you all!

I'm sure what you mentioned is a glitch in the system. It's nice of you to offer the item for free to this person, but I don't think you should feel obligated to do it.
I removed BIN from all of my auctions because I didn't want to alienate any bidders. I was looking and my auctions yesterday and noticed that most of the auctions without bids were BIN auctions.
Since I removed BIN from my auctions several of them have received bids. Could this be a trend?

Unless it's a reserve auction, the Buy-It-Now option goes away if the buyer BIDS. If it's a reserve auction, the Buy-It-Now option goes away when the reserve amount is met.
