tomwiii. According to the Ontario Provincial Police, situations such as this (e-commerce)are "jurisdictional" Therefore , you should contact the Police Service in the area that the offence occured. If it was Ontario , notify the OPP. They should have a toll free number . - Nish

tomwii: The Ontario Provincial Police 800 number is 1-800-267-2677

If this doesn't work from your area try 1-800-613-555-1212 That will take you to the toll free operator in the Ottawa area. You can ask for the regular number of the police in the area you are looking for.

I think the number above will take you to a central office where you will be redirected to the proper area. Good luck.

Edited to add the other provinces area codes. Just type the 1-800 -areacode-555-1212 for the area your seller is in:

British Columbia: 604 and 250
Alberta: 780 and 403
Saskatchewan: 304
Manitoba: 204
Ontario: 807, 705, 519,905,613,
Quebec: 450, 819, 418
New Brunswick: 506
Nova Scotia: 902
Prince Edward Island: 902
Newfoundland: 709

In the larger provinces with more than one area code, if you get the wrong one just ask the operator for the one in the area your seller was from.

My friend once had this situation (but with someone from the US) and he bought his money order via his credit card. The money order was cashed, he didn't get his item and he thought he was out of luck. Then he found that he could chargeback the money order charge on his credit card which he did and he got his money back as easy as that!

Wedgewood - the area code for Saskatchewan is 306 not 304

?? Hopefully; Alls well that ends well??

He just replied to my emails that the videos were mailed & he was NARUed for 30 days.

Sounds like a nice guy -- so, I'll keep me fingers crossed!

Just got a little rattled when I saw NARU!
