I posted the first part of this story previously but...the saga continues.
Short version:
High bidder uses bidpay -- I get two emails from bidpay and am told its safe to send the merchandise. Luckily, I didn't and waited until I got the hot little check in my hand.
Checking bidpay's site, it states that the check is not in the western union database. -- they have no record the check was ever cut. Two weeks later and I still don't have the check plus my winning bidder paid extra for 2nd day service!
They can't be trusted at all to get you your money. Had I sent the merch. when they said it was safe to do so...I'd be out of luck!
beware of accepting bidpay and NEVER send the merch. before getting the check -- (thanks to AW boards, I would have done so.)
